This happened to me a few days ago. Turns out that China blocks all google fonts. If you use them, download them and use them locally. If not, install and activate the Remove Google Fonts References plugin. This plugin stops loading of Open Sans and other fonts used by WordPress and other themes (such as Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen, Twenty Fourteen etc.) from Google Fonts.
