My responses are gibberish
If your responses show questionmarks instead of the written answers, then
Open phpmyadmin.
Open the survey table, eg. lime_survey_xxxxxxxx.
Open structure.
Spot the problematic columns and change their collation (eg. utf-8-general_ci).
