At times, setting up a quick and simple form for receiving PayPal payments on your WordPress site is far easier than a full e-commerce solution. While full solutions offer things such as inventory management and a deeper checkout process, it’s often overkill to deploy a large-scale solution for just a few items.
Step 1: Install Paypal Addon
Download and activate the The PayPal Payments Standard or PayPal Payments Pro add-on for Gravity Forms.
Step 2: Create your Gravity form
- First of all, set your currency for Gravity. To do so go to Forms / Settings and set your currency (eg. dollars, euros, etc.)
- Click the Pricing Fields on the right.
- Add a Product and give a price.
- Add the Quantity. You can use a number text field or a dropdown with available quantities (eg. 1, 2, 3 etc.)
- Add the Total (in order to show the user the total).
Step 3: Create your PayPal feed
- From within the form editor on your newly created payment form, look to the top menu and hover over Form Settings, then click on PayPal.
- You are now on the PayPal Feeds. Click on the Add New button.
- Enter a feed name (for you own eyes only).
- Enter your PayPal email address.
- In Transaction Type select Products and Services.
- In Payment amount leave the Total from Step 2.5.
- Map you billing information (these will be sent to paypal).
- Give a logo (190x60px).
- Give a cancel URL (the page you had your form on).
